A flaw was found in the Linux kernel's psxpad-spi driver. This vulnerability occurs because the `psxpad_spi_suspend()` function attempts to access controller state before it has been properly initialized, leading to a null pointer dereference. A local attacker could exploit this to cause a system crash, resulting in a Denial of Service (DoS).

Description OSIDB Bzimport 2026-09-03 08:44:02 UTC
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:

Input: psxpad-spi - set driver data before use

psxpad_spi_suspend() retrieves the controller state with
spi_get_drvdata(), but probe never stores it, so suspend dereferences a
NULL pointer. Store it during probe.
