PACKAGE APPROVED !
@Sergio, great many thanks for reviewing the package. set Ticket status to new due "sergio" is not a packager anymore. Picking up review. [...] BuildRequires: binutils BuildRequires: gettext BuildRequires: libjpeg-devel BuildRequires: vdr-devel # For 'nm' in %%check. BuildRequires: binutils [...] binutils is listed twice. Drop one of these. Also, please sort them alphabetically so that this doesn't happen again. [...] - Add Epoch 1 to allow vdr-dvbhddevice to be installed with newer VDR versions Can you explain why that is necessary? LGTM otherwise. Before the vdr main package was refactored, vdr-dvbhddevice was part of vdr, but it has now been separated from it. In the old vdr package, dvbhddevice was still at version vdr-dvbhddevice-2.8.2-2.fc45; see https://koji.fedoraproject.org/koji/buildinfo?buildID=3058645 and is now available as a separate package with version 2.2.0^20260823git945eaa1a7d0b. Therefore, an epoch was added so that the separate dvbhddevice package can overwrite older packages. Sorry, I can't explain it any more simply than that. new version: Spec URL: https://martinkg.fedorapeople.org/Review/SPECS/vdr-dvbhddevice.spec SRPM URL: https://martinkg.fedorapeople.org/Review/SRPMS/vdr-dvbhddevice-2.2.0%5e20260823git945eaa1a7d0b-3.fc45.src.rpm %changelog * Fri Sep 18 2026 Martin Gansser <martinkg> - 1:2.2.0^20260823git945eaa1a7d0b-3 - remove duplicate BR binutils The explanation justifies the Epoch, thanks! The package looks fine to me now, APPROVED. The Pagure repository was created at https://src.fedoraproject.org/rpms/vdr-dvbhddevice Monitoring: Wasn't able to create project in Anitya. You can create it manually on: `https://release-monitoring.org` @Dominik Thanks for the review. |
