That's right, but yet it built on my F7 machine and works, so I think something
in the build only uses that API if it's available.  Looking at
gtksourceview/regex/, I think it falls back on pcre if the glib version isn't there.

(Some context:  I'm using gtksourceview2 on OLPC, and it would be nice not to
have to maintain a specfile fork.)

Ah okay, feel free to commit a change that lowers the glib required version.  I
don't think that should cause any problems.

Although presumably you'll have to fork anyway since it's going to be building
into a different branch (and will have separate %changelog entries etc) ? 

Based on the date this bug was created, it appears to have been reported
during the development of Fedora 8. In order to refocus our efforts as
a project we are changing the version of this bug to '8'.

If this bug still exists in rawhide, please change the version back to
rawhide.
