The default session in XFCE spin iso use Xorg only (even no wayland option at the display manager). Anyway, we have separate comps group of input method for xorg and wayland now. The problem is that imsettings does not work in Wayland yet and XFCE Xorg and Wayland uses the same /usr/bin/startxfce4. I've thought Xinit files should not be installed in Wayland and ibus-xinit package is better not to be installed in case the Fedora SPIN has both Xorg and Wayland session in the same package. However now I'm implementing a better implementation in ibus.conf to support the any Wayland sessions. Seems ibus.conf is called many times at the login in the XFCE Wayland session and XDG_SESSION_TYPE is deleted at last. Probably I'll check the session specific value like `ibus address`. FEDORA-2026-51686f24fa (ibus-1.5.35~rc1-1.fc45) has been submitted as an update to Fedora 45. https://bodhi.fedoraproject.org/updates/FEDORA-2026-51686f24fa FEDORA-2026-51686f24fa has been pushed to the Fedora 45 testing repository.
