A flaw was found in the Linux kernel's `iio: chemical: atlas-sensor` driver. This vulnerability occurs when the `atlas_buffer_postenable()` function acquires a Power Management (PM) reference but fails to release it if an interrupt setup operation (`atlas_set_interrupt()`) does not complete successfully. This unreleased reference prevents the affected device from entering an autosuspend state, potentially leading to resource exhaustion or a denial of service.

Description OSIDB Bzimport 2026-09-16 12:26:35 UTC
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:

iio: chemical: atlas-sensor: fix PM reference leak in buffer postenable

atlas_buffer_postenable() acquires a runtime PM reference with
pm_runtime_resume_and_get() but returns the result of
atlas_set_interrupt() directly. If atlas_set_interrupt() fails,
the runtime PM reference is leaked and the device can never
autosuspend.

Add pm_runtime_put_autosuspend() on the error path to balance
the reference.
