Description Christian Stadelmann 2026-09-20 13:12:34 UTC
No noticeable problems.

Reproducible: Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Have Fedora atomic running (Silverblue in my case)
2. Boot
3. Have a look at SEAlerts
Actual Results:
After each boot, SELinux Alert Browser notifies me of an issue, suggesting:
> You should report this as a bug.
> You can generate a local policy module to allow this access.
> Allow this access for now by executing:
> # ausearch -c 'lsblk' --raw | audit2allow -M my-lsblk
> # semodule -X 300 -i my-lsblk.pp

Expected Results:
No alert from seapplet.

Additional Information:
Output from SELinux Alert Browser's Detail window:
====================

*****  Plugin catchall (100. confidence) suggests   **************************

If you believe that lsblk should be allowed read access on the swaps file by default.
Then you should report this as a bug.
You can generate a local policy module to allow this access.

At the same time (also at each boot), I get a very similar problem for file `/proc/swaps`. I guess this is the same issue, just with a different path.

Here is the details page from that denial:
===================
SELinux is preventing lsblk from open access on the file /proc/swaps.

*****  Plugin catchall (100. confidence) suggests   **************************

If you believe that lsblk should be allowed open access on the swaps file by default.
Then you should report this as a bug.
You can generate a local policy module to allow this access.
Do
allow this access for now by executing:
# ausearch -c 'lsblk' --raw | audit2allow -M my-lsblk
# semodule -X 300 -i my-lsblk.pp

And another one with `getattr` instead of `open`/`read` as before, also with the same time stamps:
=====================
SELinux is preventing lsblk from getattr access on the file /proc/swaps.

*****  Plugin catchall (100. confidence) suggests   **************************

If you believe that lsblk should be allowed getattr access on the swaps file by default.
Then you should report this as a bug.
You can generate a local policy module to allow this access.

# ausearch -c 'lsblk' --raw | audit2allow -M my-lsblk
# semodule -X 300 -i my-lsblk.pp
