A flaw was found in the `go-openapi/swag` library's `jsonutils` component. This vulnerability, caused by uncontrolled recursion during ordered JSON (JavaScript Object Notation) parsing and serialization, allows remote unauthenticated attackers to submit deeply nested JSON documents. This can lead to a stack overflow, terminating the process and causing a Denial of Service (DoS) for services that accept OpenAPI specifications.

Description OSIDB Bzimport 2026-09-22 21:54:22 UTC
go-openapi/swag jsonutils before 0.27.1 contains a stack overflow vulnerability in ordered JSON parsing and serialization due to unbounded recursion with no depth limit. Remote unauthenticated attackers can submit deeply nested JSON documents to services accepting OpenAPI specifications, causing fatal stack overflow that terminates the process and all in-flight requests.
