A flaw was found in the Linux kernel's AMD KFD (Kernel Fusion Driver) subsystem. A race condition occurs during queue destruction when internal locks are released while waiting for a queue to resume, allowing a concurrent destroy operation to prematurely free the queue object. A local user could exploit this use-after-free flaw to cause a Denial of Service (DoS) by crashing the system or potentially escalate privileges.

Description OSIDB Bzimport 2026-09-24 16:54:37 UTC
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:

drm/amdkfd: fix UAF race in destroy_queue_cpsch

wait_on_destroy_queue() drops locks to wait for queue resume, allowing
a concurrent destroy to free the queue. Use is_being_destroyed flag to
serialize destruction.
