A flaw was found in PeaZip. When operating in certain non-default configurations, the application mishandles quotation characters within archive filenames. An attacker could exploit this vulnerability by enticing a user to open a specially crafted archive file, triggering operating system (OS) command injection. Successful exploitation allows the attacker to execute arbitrary commands on the host system with the privileges of the PeaZip application.

Description OSIDB Bzimport 2026-10-02 22:52:26 UTC
PeaZip before 11.3.0, in a non-default configuration, is vulnerable to OS command injection via a filename in an archive because "quotation character already used in the string" is mishandled.
