A flaw was found in FreeRDP. A malicious Remote Desktop Protocol (RDP) server can cause a Denial of Service (DoS) on a connecting client by supplying invalid geometry coordinates when video redirection is enabled. Because FreeRDP does not properly validate server-provided video coordinates, an integer calculation wraparound bypasses boundary checks, resulting in an out-of-bounds memory write and causing the client application to crash.

Description OSIDB Bzimport 2026-10-12 16:47:15 UTC
FreeRDP before 3.32.0 stores the server-supplied signed MS-RDPEGT geometry origin unchecked in an unsigned video surface coordinate, so the blit clamp in gdiVideoShowSurface() wraps in 32-bit arithmetic and is skipped. A malicious RDP server can send a negative topLevelLeft to clients connecting with /video, causing an out-of-bounds write of decoded H.264 picture data or a client abort.
