Doc Text:
A flaw was found in ImageMagick. This vulnerability allows an attacker to cause a Denial of Service (DoS) through memory exhaustion. The issue occurs during wavelet-denoise image processing, where the application fails to release allocated memory if a required resource cannot be acquired. By repeatedly triggering this operation under resource-constrained conditions, an attacker can consume system memory and degrade service availability.

Description OSIDB Bzimport 2026-10-12 16:50:42 UTC
ImageMagick before 6.9.13-57 and 7.x before 7.1.2-32 contains a memory leak in the wavelet-denoise operation, which fails to release allocated memory when a required resource cannot be acquired. Attackers can repeatedly trigger wavelet-denoise processing under resource-constrained conditions to leak memory and degrade service availability.
