A flaw was found in FreeRDP. This vulnerability leads to information disclosure because the internal HTTP client fails to verify Transport Layer Security (TLS) server certificates or hostnames. An on-path network attacker positioned between the client and identity provider can exploit this flaw by impersonating trusted authentication servers during user login. This allows the attacker to intercept sensitive authorization credentials and tamper with authentication responses.

Description OSIDB Bzimport 2026-10-12 16:53:25 UTC
FreeRDP 3.0.0 before 3.32.0 contains an improper certificate validation vulnerability in freerdp_http_request() in libfreerdp/utils/http.c that completes TLS handshakes without verifying the server certificate chain. On-path attackers can impersonate login.microsoftonline.com in the Azure AD authentication flow to capture OAuth authorization codes and substitute the OpenID discovery document.
