Disclaimer: Community trackers are created by Red Hat Product Security team on a best effort basis. Package maintainers are required to ascertain if the flaw indeed affects their package, before starting the update process.

A flaw was found in DPDK lib/vhost. A control-queue descriptor double-fetch in virtio_net_ctrl_pop() overflows the host heap in the VDUSE path. An incomplete fix in commit 6ec1778134 (January 2026) bounded descriptor indices but did not snapshot lengths.
