A flaw was found in the Model Context Protocol (MCP) TypeScript SDK (@modelcontextprotocol/sdk). The experimental task storage feature (taskStore) does not verify which client session created a given task when multiple clients share a task store. A remote attacker sharing the same server instance can exploit this flaw to list, read, and cancel tasks created by other sessions. This results in unauthorized information disclosure and disruption of task processing.

Description OSIDB Bzimport 2026-10-20 18:52:35 UTC
MCP TypeScript SDK is the official TypeScript SDK for Model Context Protocol servers and clients. From version 1.24.0 to before version 1.32.0, the experimental tasks feature (taskStore) did not check which session created a task. Clients sharing one InMemoryTaskStore could list, read and cancel each other's tasks. This issue has been patched in version 1.32.0.
