A flaw was found in the MySQL Server Optimizer component. An authenticated remote attacker with low privileges can exploit this vulnerability over the network across multiple protocols. A successful attack allows the attacker to cause the database server to hang or repeatedly crash, leading to a complete Denial of Service (DoS).
