A flaw was found in the Linux kernel's VideoCore IV (vc4) graphics driver. When the driver is unbound during device teardown, cached buffer objects are purged but the associated size list is not released. A local user capable of triggering repeated unbind operations could exploit this memory leak to exhaust system resources, leading to a Denial of Service (DoS).

Description OSIDB Bzimport 2026-10-23 13:26:57 UTC
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:

drm/vc4: Free the BO cache size list on teardown

vc4_bo_cache_destroy() purges the cached BOs but never frees the size
list, leaking it on every unbind.
