A flaw was found in the Linux kernel's Intel Bluetooth PCIe driver. An off-by-one bounds check fails to properly validate the transmission descriptor index against the queue limit during packet preparation. A local attacker could exploit this issue to trigger an out-of-bounds memory access, leading to memory corruption and a Denial of Service (DoS) via a system crash.

Description OSIDB Bzimport 2026-10-26 15:17:13 UTC
In the Linux kernel, the following vulnerability has been resolved:

Bluetooth: btintel_pcie: fix TX descriptor bounds check

btintel_pcie_prepare_tx() uses tfd_index to access the TFD and data
buffer arrays before the index is advanced modulo txq->count. An index
equal to txq->count is one past the end of both arrays, so reject it in
the bounds check.
