Description Marco Benatto 2026-10-28 18:43:51 UTC
Disclaimer: Community trackers are created by Red Hat Product Security team on a best effort basis. Package maintainers are required to ascertain if the flaw indeed affects their package, before starting the update process.

There's a out-of-bounds read in std::from_chars() in libstdc++ when the string being passed as parameter is not NULL terminated. The impact is limited to read invalid float point numbers or reach a non-readable memory position resulting a a Denial-of-Service only.

I don't think a bug in a compiler qualifies for a CVE. This will be fixed with regular upstream gcc releases, as they become available.
