A flaw was found in ImageMagick. An attacker can cause a Denial of Service (DoS) by tricking a user or system into processing a specially crafted image file with the -morph option. This action triggers a heap-based buffer overflow where data is written beyond allocated memory boundaries, corrupting memory and causing the application to crash.

Description OSIDB Bzimport 2026-10-29 17:41:56 UTC
ImageMagick before 7.1.2-34 contains a heap-based buffer overflow in its -morph processing, where crafted images cause writes beyond the bounds of a heap buffer. An attacker can supply a crafted image that, when processed by a user with the -morph option, corrupts heap memory and crashes the application.
