A flaw was found in Slurm. A local attacker with low privileges can trigger a heap-based buffer overflow in the slurmstepd daemon while it runs with root permissions. Successful exploitation may allow an attacker to escalate privileges or execute arbitrary code with root access, leading to the unauthorized disclosure and modification of sensitive system data.
