A flaw was found in MLflow. This vulnerability allows an attacker to execute arbitrary code in the context of the running application by tricking a user into opening a crafted file or visiting a malicious webpage. The issue stems from the unsafe deserialization (reconstructing saved data objects) of untrusted data when parsing pickle evaluation artifacts without proper validation.

Description OSIDB Bzimport 2026-11-04 00:02:43 UTC
MLflow PickleEvaluationArtifact Deserialization of Untrusted Data Remote Code Execution Vulnerability. This vulnerability allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code on affected installations of MLflow. User interaction is required to exploit this vulnerability in that the target must visit a malicious page or open a malicious file.

The specific flaw exists within the parsing of pickle files. The issue results from the lack of proper validation of user-supplied data, which can result in deserialization of untrusted data. An attacker can leverage this vulnerability to execute code in the context of the current process. Was ZDI-CAN-29513.
