Doc Text:
A flaw was found in Apache Sling Engine. A remote attacker could perform HTTP request smuggling by sending specially crafted requests containing non-standard percent-encoded characters or invalid character sets. Because the query and form parser continues processing requests despite encountering formatting errors, front-end and back-end systems may interpret request boundaries differently. This desynchronization can allow an attacker to bypass security controls or poison web caches.

Description OSIDB Bzimport 2026-11-05 22:06:37 UTC
Inconsistent interpretation of HTTP requests ('HTTP Request/Response smuggling') vulnerability in Apache Sling Engine. The engine's query/form parser accepts non-standard percent-escapes, wrong charsets, and continues request processing on such errors.

This issue affects Apache Sling Engine: before 3.0.4.

Users are recommended to upgrade to version 3.0.4, which fixes the issue.
