A flaw was found in DB-GPT's Hugging Face adapter. A remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability by manipulating the `trust_remote_code` setting when loading model repositories. This causes the application to include and run untrusted external code, leading to arbitrary code execution on the host system.

Description OSIDB Bzimport 2026-11-05 22:08:46 UTC
A weakness has been identified in eosphoros-ai DB-GPT up to 0.8.2. Impacted is the function exec_module of the file hf_adapter.py of the component HuggingFace Adapter. Executing a manipulation of the argument trust_remote_code can lead to inclusion of functionality from untrusted control sphere. The attack can be launched remotely. The exploit has been made available to the public and could be used for attacks. The project was informed of the problem early through an issue report but has not responded yet.
