Description David Morse 2001-02-09 22:04:14 UTC
Permission warnings appear when launching xcdroast, although it
launches correctly. Also, xcdroast is not listed in the GNOME menu
hierarchy at all, even though the package was installed; should be under
Applications or Multimedia.

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1. Install fisher with workstation install.
2. Start X.
3. Look for XCDRoast under Multimedia GNOME menu (not there).
4. Launch xcdroast from a terminal to see the permission warnings below.

Actual Results: [root@localhost /root]# xcdroast

** WARNING **: X-CD-Roast does not seem to have the correct permissions set

** WARNING **: So do as root something like that: (and read the Manual)
chown root:cdwrite xcdroast; chmod 2755 xcdroast

** WARNING **: Installation problem? No set-gid bit on /usr/bin/cdrecord

** WARNING **: Installation problem? No set-gid bit on /usr/bin/cdda2wav

** WARNING **: Installation problem? No set-gid bit on /usr/bin/readcd

** WARNING **: Installation problem? No set-gid bit on /usr/bin/mkisofs

Expected Results: XCDRoast should be accessible from the Multimedia GNOME
menu, and no permission warnings should appear when launching it from a
terminal.

RPM xcdroast-0.98-4 (included with fisher)
