Currently this is a problem with the installer. It defaults to the first ide cdrom and if it doesnt find one it then goes to scsi. We are working to fix this for the next release. Workarounds are to disable the IDE cd until after the install. This will be fixed in the next version of Red Hat Linux. *** Bug 273 has been marked as a duplicate of this bug. *** I have a IDE CDROM driver AND a SCSI CDROM drive in my PC. I cant install RH 5.2 from the SCSI drive. The install program insist on using the IDE = /dev/hdd ------- Additional Comments From msw 11/12/98 21:26 ------- This is a known problem in the current installer. It will be addressed in a future version of Red Hat Linux. |
