Ping? Changing version to '9' as part of upcoming Fedora 9 GA. More information and reason for this action is here: http://fedoraproject.org/wiki/BugZappers/HouseKeeping Per conversation on irc, there isn't a guideline preventing this. Personally I would not do it if I was making a new package, but I don't see any compelling reason to change that here since it's already working and available this way in RHEL, etc. Can you cite a guideline that is not being followed? If not, we should close this NOTABUG. |
