Description Horst H. von Brand 2007-09-19 01:37:24 UTC
Description of problem:
I usually shut down the machine (via System -> Shut Down), and then start
unplugging the external USB mouse, etc. Lately when I unplug the power (while
the shutdown scripts are running) the machine just hangs, and has to be turned
off by pressing the Power button.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
kernel-2.6.23-0.184.rc6.git4.fc8

How reproducible:
Almost every time I tried this lately, starting around 2.6.23-<something>.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Shutdown
2. Unplug power cord
3.

Actual results:
Hang, needs manual poweroff

Expected results:
Orderly shutdown
