Laptop Dell Latitude CPx J650GT with an ESS Maestro3


After installing the kernel 2.2.17 there s a module maestro3 which
recognize the sound card but not the install neither the sndconfig
recognize it

Reproducible: Always
Steps to Reproduce:
1.Launch sndconfig
2.
3.
	

Actual Results:  soundcard not recognized automatically

Expected Results:  soundcard recognized automatically

By adding by hand these lines in modules.conf I was able to make it work

alias char-major-14 sound
alias sound maestro3

This is fixed in the beta sndconfig.
