The graphical install wouldn't let me use a login name over 8
characters, rejecting it interactively.  The text install let me enter
it, then rejected it.

Not a show stopper, but the TUI needs to enforce this in max field width,
or pop an error at the time of the error.

Fixed in cvs.  Thanks for your report.  Text mode install now no longer allows
you to enter usernames longer than 8 chars.  On the other hand, it will still
allow you to enter bogus chars such as '*'.  In this case, the dialog message
pops up telling you that the username is invalid.
