This message is a reminder that Fedora 9 is nearing its end of life.
Approximately 30 (thirty) days from now Fedora will stop maintaining
and issuing updates for Fedora 9.  It is Fedora's policy to close all
bug reports from releases that are no longer maintained.  At that time
this bug will be closed as WONTFIX if it remains open with a Fedora 
'version' of '9'.

Package Maintainer: If you wish for this bug to remain open because you
plan to fix it in a currently maintained version, simply change the 'version' 
to a later Fedora version prior to Fedora 9's end of life.

I'm still seeing this in NetworkManager-0.7.1-8.git20090708.fc11.x86_64
however, I think I saw improvements in f12

There actually aren't really any improvements in F12 :)  The applet has only 22x22 bitmap icons, and only some of those are overridden by scalable SVG icons in various themes.  We need to redo the icon set to get scalable SVG.

The icon looks all right in f13 with the panel at 24pixels, but make the panel larger and it still looks yuck.

Someone should upgrade this to f13.

I might be willing to try and address this (and might have the graphics skills) but need some direction on where to look for examples of what you need to create the svg image(s).

This may be read as an offer to help.

Moving to current Rawhide.
