Confirmed in F8. Jeff, this is what was preventing you from viewing my beautiful video the other day :) Convince upstream to do something sane about this (or do it in Fedora :) ). Okay i think i see what is going on. istanbul writes to a tempfile first, then moves the tempfile to the final location that you choose in the filechooser dialog. So the mode that's being set totally makes sense for a tmp file in a common tmp directory..and that mode persists across the mv to the final location that you choose. So this is definitely an istanbul issue. I'll poke at it in fedora and see if I can get upstream to patch it. -jef Changing version to '9' as part of upcoming Fedora 9 GA.
