Description Anton Guda 2007-10-01 11:47:08 UTC
Description of problem:
Some external program, for example my hmount,
need to list all mountable partitions on
removable drives, skeeping fixed.
It was used key "volume.ignore" to separate
removable/fixed partitions.
Now info for any type of partitions is nearly the same.
And output mix all partitions.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
hal-0.5.10-0.git20070925
hal-info-20070725-1

How reproducible:
always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Connect USB drive with partitions.
2. lshal > lshal.txt
3. compare output for USB partition and HDD partition.

Actual results:
The is no key to separate USB/HDD partitions.

Expected results:
Must be a key "removable".
Not only for some of parent device, but for every partition/FS.

See the hal spec (in the hal-docs package) and use sth like
storage.hotpluggable. Also, questions like these should be asked upstream.
