Upstream ISCSI fixes backported to 2.6.21-rt kernel none

Description Tim Burke 2007-10-04 15:22:31 UTC
Mike Christi mails:

Stock 2.6.21 has some bugs on the IO error paths and shutdown.

So in short :) , .21 and .23 has a bug during shutdown when using targets that
are using a write back cache. The problem is that in .21 the scsi mid layer
changed the userspace interface behavior for some operation that the iscsi tools
use. We have a fix for upstream for .24 or .25 (depending on when we finish
testing and push upstream and what feature window is open), but until then we
have a workaround in userspace.
