System activation of services on the bus is handy, but there are cases where you
also want some form of periodic activation.  While you could do dbus-send in a
cron job, you're then using cron which isn't entirely ideal either.

Ask for features upstream please (and fwiw, I think dbus-send using cron or
whatever is fine enough)
