Description winston2 1998-12-07 15:25:29 UTC
I have installed anonftp manytimes and it doesn't showup on
the system. I see the #################### with no errors
but it wont run as "anonftp". I do a find / -name anon* and
no luck.

I give up.

The anonftp package is basically used to set up the proper directory
structure under /home that anonymous ftp users will see when they ftp
into the server. If you type rpm -ql anonftp then you will see the
directories that are created and the utitlities that are placed there.
Then when you fto to the machine, and login as anonymous it places you
under /home/ftp and only allows the user access to that directory and
below.
