The anonftp package is basically used to set up the proper directory structure under /home that anonymous ftp users will see when they ftp into the server. If you type rpm -ql anonftp then you will see the directories that are created and the utitlities that are placed there. Then when you fto to the machine, and login as anonymous it places you under /home/ftp and only allows the user access to that directory and below. |
