Try configuring your laptop using: Xconfigurator --preferxf3 Does this fix it for you? Configuring XFree86 3 with Xconfigurator does work. However, XFree86 4 is supposed to support that chipset with the trident driver.... This defect considered MUST-FIX for Florence Gold fixed in Xconfigurator-4.9.27 Any chance I can get ahold of this to test it? It's not in the Rawhide tree on ftp.beta.... Ok, I puttem on ftp://people.redhat.com/mharris for you. Okay, thanks! I've tried it out and it automatically configures the server for XFree86-3 |
