Description Daniel Wilcox 2007-10-20 15:43:40 UTC
Description of problem:
When I click on the Processes tab, the g-s-m exits without warning instead of
displaying the processes. If I run it from the command line, I get the
following text message when I click on Processes: 'Xlib: extension "X-Resource"
missing on display ":0.0".' It still exits without warning.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):
g-s-m 2.20.1

How reproducible:
Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Open gnome-system-monitor
2. Click on Processes

Actual results:
Unexpected exit of the application

Expected results:
Display of the running processes

Which X server are you using ? Can you attach your /var/log/Xorg.0.log ?

my x.org log

here it is, as requested.

Comment 3 Matthias Clasen 2007-10-22 14:57:39 UTC
Reproduced, by turning off X-Resource in xorg.conf with

Section "Extensions"
        Option "X-Resource" "off"
EndSection

Here is a stacktrace, which points at libwnck
