Just checked this more closely: there is missing "perl(Error)" dependency in the perl-Git package. I had to manually install perl-Error package which contains the missing file (and I'm able to uninstall it without dependency error). When I rebuilt the git src.rpm package with added "Requires: perl(Error)" for perl-Git sub-package, it behaves as expected. Patch attached. Created attachment 243311 [details]

This message is a reminder that Fedora 8 is nearing its end of life. Approximately 30 (thirty) days from now Fedora will stop maintaining and issuing updates for Fedora 8.
