Description RHEL Program Management 2007-11-06 15:32:56 UTC
This bug has been copied from bug #362371 and has been proposed
to be backported to 4.5 z-stream (EUS).

Comment 2 Johnray Fuller 2007-11-07 21:49:59 UTC
I have tested the Z-Stream kernel on a DL585 G1 using a clean RHEL 4 U5 build.
Here are the results:

Memory Interleaving ON in BIOS:

kernel-largesmp-2.6.9-55.EL (stock U5) = FAILS
kernel-largesmp-2.6.9-55.0.13.EL = Success

numa=off:

kernel-largesmp-2.6.9-55.EL (stock U5) = FAILS
kernel-largesmp-2.6.9-55.0.13.EL = Success

The patch does look to be correct.
