Description David Clack 2007-11-07 18:15:12 UTC
Description of problem:

rhn_check fails to install updates that I've scheduled.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

Using RedHat 5 as a client.
RHN is either the hosted rhn.redhat.com or a local satellite server v5.0.1, same
 issue with either.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. Log onto RHN and 'work with group' is SSM.
2. Go to errata then select a few updates by ticking the boxes then click 'apply
errata'
3. Choose to 'Schedule action as soon as possible' then click 'Schedule updates'
4. On one of the clients from the group run 'rhn_check'

Actual results:
Output from the rhn_check =

Loading "rhnplugin" plugin
Loading "installonlyn" plugin
Package openssl - 0.9.8b-8.3.el5.i686 already installed and latest version

Package kernel - 2.6.18-8.el5.i686 already installed and latest version

Back on RHN in the Events -> History of the server it shows that the updates
were successful.

The updates I selected were kernel 2.6.18-53.el5 and openssl 0.9.8b-8.3.el5_0.2
and were not installed.

Expected results:

I expected the packages to get updated.

Resolved with the latest versions of yum-rhn-plugin and rhn-check.
