Description Eric Sandeen 2007-11-09 18:41:22 UTC
I'd like to see if smolt would consider collecting storage information. For
example:

filesystem types
filesystem sizes
disk & partition sizes
block device info (lvm? md? HW raid? size/vendor/model of disks/raids?)

A smattering of other things that could be gathered:

filesystem mount points for standard dirs (/, /boot, /tmp, /var etc)
filesystem usage (inodes, blocks in use)
filesystem mount options

There is also a discussion on this here:
https://www.redhat.com/archives/fedora-devel-list/2007-November/msg00604.html

I don't see that choice of filesystem is any more of a privacy issue than, say,
choice of distro, selinux state, or default runlevel for example, so hopefully
at least some of this could be considered.

Thanks!

-Eric

This has actually been done for quite some time.
