Description Alexey Kuznetsov 2007-11-13 13:34:21 UTC
Description of problem:
Gimp wont start: Libgimp version mismatch! GIMP version 2.4.0, libgimp 2.4.1

Additional info:
Fresh f8 installation with last updates.

Comment 1 Nils Philippsen 2007-11-13 14:06:51 UTC
It seems you have inconsistent versions between gimp and gimp-libs (eventually
gimp-devel). You need to update all to the same version, check "rpm -qa gimp\*"
output.

Any suggestions?

Comment 3 Nils Philippsen 2007-11-13 15:10:18 UTC
Seems you have manually installed gimp before. Try installing the gimp package
for starters.

Comment 4 Alexey Kuznetsov 2007-11-13 15:11:19 UTC
This is clean F8 installation... ok, soryy.

Comment 5 Nils Philippsen 2007-11-13 15:17:21 UTC
You mean you didn't manually install GIMP? In that case maybe your RPM database
has problems...
