Description David Campbell 2007-11-15 22:37:18 UTC
Description of problem:

If you change the default viewer for a type of file, eg changing default viewer
for files of type tiff to use evince as the default viewer, it sits there for
about 30 seconds burning 100% cpu. That seems absurdly slow.

The deafult viewer - Eye of gnome - cannot display multi-page tiff files, so
changing the default viewer for tiff images to document viewer would be a common
thing to do.

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

nautilus 2.20.0

How reproducible:

Always

Steps to Reproduce:
1. View folder containing tiff image in nautilus
2. Pull down properties menu on tiff image
3. Click Open With tab
4. Change application from Image viewer to Document viewer
5. Click Close

Actual results:

Horribly slow

Expected results:

Quick
