This was the case for me and it was a DPI problem with the nv driver. Check your /var/log/XFree86.0.log file for DPI and see what it is set to. For me it was something like (82,96) or something. I set it to 75 by using the -dpi 75 option to X. If you are using xdm/kdm put it into the /etc/X11/xdm/Xservers file. Agreed, this is not an XFree86 bug, but a local configuration bug. Make sure you are using the proper dpi fonts (75 or 100), and try switching between them if necessary. |
