Description Keith Holmes 2007-11-22 02:06:42 UTC
Description of problem: Selecting to upgrade Grub loader failed. The system uses
a 110Mb partition on /dev/sda1 where the FC7 kernel resides. The installation
failed with a 'bug' but anyway put the fc8 files in /boot but the grub.conf on
sda1 points to hd0,0 i.e. sda1 hence it booted the fc7 kernel with the fc8
files. To fix I copied the fc8 files to the sda1 partition and modified
grub.conf to just list teh new fc8 vmlinuz and initrd files. As an aside the
110MB volume now appears on the desktop which it didn't before!
