Description Jonathan Underwood 2007-12-05 15:10:14 UTC
Description of problem:
The kvm module loads, but kvm-intel doesn't, and /dev/kvm isn't created. This
makes life difficult for virt-manager and friends.

# /sbin/modprobe kvm-intel
FATAL: Error inserting kvm_intel
(/lib/modules/2.6.23.8-63.fc8/kernel/drivers/kvm/kvm-intel.ko): Operation not
supported

# less /proc/cpuinfo

Yeah, ok, I am an idjut. The contents of /proc/cpuinfo led me to believe HVM was
enabled in the bios, but it wasn't. Sorry for the noise, closing.
