Description of Problem:

I recently de-installed xdm (XFree86-xdm) and kdm stopped working. I got no 
warnings about dependencies.

How Reproducible:

Every time

Steps to Reproduce:
1. On a working KDE system, rpm -e XFree86-xdm
2. Reboot
3. kdm won't start

Additional Information:
 
I suspect, from what I read whilst trying to work out what had gone wrong, that 
this is a PAM problem.

It's fixed in 7.3 or 8.0
