on Alpha, leave some space for the bootstrap install none

Description Jay Estabrook 2007-12-31 23:19:02 UTC
Description of problem:

On Alpha, space (1M or more) needs to be left unused at the start of the
disk when partition is done, as space for the bootstrap (aboot).

Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable):

anaconda-11.3.0.50-2

How reproducible:

Every time.

Steps to Reproduce:
1. allow anaconda to partition a BSD disk
2. let the bootloader aboot be installed
3.

Actual results:

Errors occur when there is no space for the bootstrap to be written.

Expected results:

Enough space to be left by the autopartitioner for aboot to be installed.

Additional info:

Attached is a patch to fix the problem.

Ermm, this is already included in HEAD (Oliver sent us a set of patches for
Alpha support). And given that alpha isn't a supported arch for Fedora 8, we're
not likely to go back and build a new anaconda.
