The man page for "vncviewer" says nothing about the possible syntax of

  $ vncviewer <remote system>::<port number>

that is, the double-colon syntax.

vnc-4.1.2-24.fc8 has been pushed to the Fedora 8 testing repository.  If problems still persist, please make note of it in this bug report.
