This message is a reminder that Fedora 8 is nearing its end of life. Approximately 30 (thirty) days from now Fedora will stop maintaining and issuing updates for Fedora 8. It is Fedora's policy to close all bug reports from releases that are no longer maintained. At that time this bug will be closed as WONTFIX if it remains open with a Fedora 'version' of '8'. Package Maintainer: If you wish for this bug to remain open because you plan to fix it in a currently maintained version, simply change the 'version' to a later Fedora version prior to Fedora 8's end of life. Not sure what needs to be done to "reopen this bug against that version," but it seems to still be a problem (at least in some cases) |
Description of problem: Ant searches for the antRun helper script in /usr/share/ant/bin but it's installed in /usr/bin. This results in an ioexception. Version-Release number of selected component (if applicable): ant-1.7.0-1jpp.2.fc8 How reproducible: Always Steps to Reproduce: 1.Create a build.xml file with following contents in a directory: <?xml version="1.0" encoding="UTF-8"?> <project name="test"> <exec executable="echo" vmlauncher="no"> <arg line="'Hello world'"/> </exec> </project> 2. Run 'ant' in that directory 3. Watch the output :) Actual results: Buildfile: build.xml BUILD FAILED /home/bart/Desktop/build.xml:4: Execute failed: java.io.IOException: Cannot run program "/usr/share/ant/bin/antRun": java.io.IOException: error=2, No such file or directory Total time: 2 seconds Expected results: Buildfile: build.xml [exec] Hello world BUILD SUCCESSFUL Total time: 0 seconds Additional info: I fixed it on a machine where I really needed it by symlinking the helper script to the right directory.
